Sarah Jaggard - Artistic Director
Edge dance was founded by dancer Sarah Jaggard in 2008. Sarah grew up and studied in Melton Mowbray before completing a degree in dance at Bretton Hall Arts and Education College. She has performed both in the UK and abroad and continues to dance with Addict Dance Company based in Leicester. Alongside performing, she has spent the last two years working in the East Midlands as a freelance dance teacher. This has involved leading workshops in primary and secondary schools, working with community groups and choreographing full stage shows. Most recently, Sarah has undertaken the role of Dance Coach for Rutland County Council.

Edge Dance was primarily established in order to encourage dance growth in education and continue Sarah’s work in schools. Its other aim is to run regular workshops and classes in Melton Mowbray and the wider community providing a rewarding experience for children and young people. The company has been awarded a business bursary from Creative Leicestershire to build on its present success and assist with its future development.
